Positive Poetry Goes Around the World

Love Yourself

When you look in the mirror, love what you see,

By accepting your inner and outer beauty.

Encourage and empower yourself to be free,

By allowing you to be who you want to be.

Believe in yourself all of the time,

Whether you fail or shine.

Be your own best friend,

Because you are with yourself till the end.

Loving yourself is a must,

If you want others to trust.

Negative feelings and experiences please try to lift,

Because giving and accepting love is a beautiful gift.

Presidents’ Praise

President’s Day is the third Monday in February,

United States has had 44 Presidents you see.

President Washington and President Lincoln are honored on this day,

All of our Presidents deserve positive praise…I must say.

The President’s job affects the lives of many with their choices,

Hopefully their decisions cause people to have positive voices.

Support and respect your leaders in all they do,

Be open to listen if they have a different view.

Every four years we vote a new president to be,

Appreciate that democracy allows you to be free,

Thank you to our Presidents of the USA,

Helping America strive for a brighter day.

Enjoyed the poems

These are great! Love the President's Poem.  I asked my 9 year old son after he joyfully expressed having off on Friday and Monday for President's Day "Do you know why we have off?" and he said "yeh it's Obama's birthday"  oy!  Anyway.. thanks for posting.  I will be sharing that with him as well as my students. :)
